Lake Sammamish Sandbar
To get here, park at the furthest parking lot in Lake Sammamish State Park (Discovery Pass needed). Furthest from the park entrance you will see a path in the far corner. Take this path along the lake side and you will find yourself on a long, wooden boardwalk. At the end of the boardwalk follow the dirt trail where it will lead you to a small point perfect for leaving your belongings. Depending on the time of year you may need to wade across a small stream (around knee deep) to get to the spot. Conditions vary depending on rainfall but there is no tide to worry about. The spot is mostly 1-2 inch water, perfect for skimming but in some spots the water drops off making for fun attempting to get the furthest into the deep water, as well as making for big pop. Lots of natural wood for features, and generally is such a hidden spot that wooden features would be alright as well.
